Whitney and Zach’s Coral and Grey Peoria, IL Wedding

The little details are what make each wedding I have ever photographed unique, personal, and special. Whitney and Zach’s Peoria, IL wedding was no different. From the coral and grey accents to their cute wedding hashtag #ItsAShelabration, the newlywed’s personalities really shined on their big day. Their day was a “shelebration”, full of infinite love and laughter combined with whimsical, rustic, and elegant tones. Being a wedding photographer is truly the best, and it was a blast to capture the sweet and precious moments of Whitney and Zach’s beautiful day.

A Chance Meeting

Whitney and Zach met at the pool table at Meister’s, a local bar in Columbus, OH. It was Whitney’s birthday weekend, and she was out celebrating with her mom and brother. When Zach first ran into Whitney, his very first thought was, “Too bad this cute girl is here with her boyfriend.” Of course, Zach later found out that the “boyfriend” he had been concerned about was actually Whitney’s brother! Despite thinking that Whitney was out with another man, Zach hung around with Whitney and her family, and even passed the interrogation from Whitney’s mom that night. Although they hadn’t even gone on an official date yet, that was when Whitney knew it was meant to be! Zach knew that Whitney was something special when they went on their first official date the following week and ate all of the famous “Thurman Burger”. Soon after that, these lovebirds were inseparable!

A Loving Courtship

As a couple, Whitney and Zach’s personalities complement each other well, and they enjoy spending time with their family and friends. When asked to name one thing each loves about their future spouse, Zach responded, “I love how close Whitney is with her family. I also love how passionate she is about her work and how truly caring she is.” Whitney’s answer was similar, as she said, “I love Zach’s hard work ethic and motivation. I also love his compassion and strong family values.” Together, they like to eat everything that Whitney bakes – they both have the biggest sweet tooth! They also enjoy going to church, working out together, trying new restaurants and breweries, playing cornhole, and going to Taco Tuesday at the local cantina.

A Coral and Grey Wedding

Their fun personalities make for an exciting relationship, and also helped make their coral and grey wedding one for the books! Not only was the venue at the Warehouse on State stunning, the color scheme was resulted in a swoon-worthy rustic elegance. Coral colors were incorporated into the bouquet and bridal party shawls, which contrasted tastefully to the greenery and grey accents. The grooms wore matching coral and grey argyle socks to tie the whole theme together.

Besides the colors and décor, the bride and groom were sure to weave important traditions with current trends to make the day uniquely theirs. Whitney wrapped a piece of lace from her mother’s wedding dress around her bouquet – making it her something new and something borrowed! As tradition demands, Whitney and Zach decided not to do a first look, so the first time they saw each other was when Whitney walked down the aisle. To shake things up, the cute couple provided their guests with a unique wedding favor that showcased their personalities – socks with the Ohio State Buckeye logo on them! From the little details to the love emanating from the couple, this wedding day was all things magical and beautiful, and it was perfect in every way. Here’s to a lifetime of “shelebrating” for these sweet newlyweds!
