The Church Ceremony

The wedding ceremony to unite Isolina and Matthew together as husband and wife took place at St. Joseph’s Church in Hopedale, IL. They chose not to have a first look prior to the ceremony, which made for an incredibly emotional moment when as they locked eyes for the first time as Isolina walked down the aisle arm-in-arm with her father. They looked at each other like there was no one else in the room. And to them, it probably seemed like as though they were alone in that moment! It was just these two lovebirds enjoying their love and excitement as they were about to embark on their next great journey. Don’t you just love weddings?

Another beautiful aspect of the ceremony was that the couple included so many personal touches. Many elements of the day paid homage to their loved ones, as they were passed down or made by family members. Isolina looked stunning in her sheath vintage dress and elegant veil made by her mother. Matthew wore a tux passed down from his father. Other classic accents included the bridesmaids’ silver shawls and lilac colored dresses. Even the bride’s jewelry was understated in the best way with simple pearls, adding to the vintage, Hollywood style.

The Waterhouse Reception

After the ceremony, the bridal party and guests proceeded to The Waterhouse in Peoria, IL to celebrate the momentous occasion with all the people they love. And boy was it a party! The Waterhouse presented an incredible venue, and Isolina and Matthew held their reception in the ballroom so that they could dance the night away! Everything from the first dance to the couple’s gentle embraces and tender looks perfectly embodied their classic love story. Isolina and Matthew’s May wedding was the definition of a vintage classic dream, and it was an honor to be a part of their special day and the first part of their forever!
