Kathryn and Dan’s July wedding in Washington, IL was the perfect summer day. The theme of the day was elegant; yet simple and their color scheme of white and slate blue added to the sense of simplicity and whimsy to their summer wedding. Their ceremony took place in Washington and then the couple danced the night away at their reception in Eureka, IL at The Cannery. This is a grand warehouse venue full of wooden details and charm. This was the perfect place to compliment Kathryn and Dan’s theme of elegant; yet simple.
One of the things that struck me the most about Kathryn and Dan’s relationship is their honesty about how they met. In today’s world it can be really hard to meet someone so many millennials take to date apps such as Tinder; this is how Kathryn and Dan met. They laugh about their first date and say that the first thing each of them thought on the date was relief. With online dating you never know who’s going to show up and how the date is going to go but they got along so well and it was a pleasant surprise for both of them! I know quite a few people that have met online and for some unfortunate reason people tend to think they need to make up a more exciting story about how they met; so I love how open Kathryn and Dan are about their love story.
Kathryn and Dan’s family came together to celebrate and shower the couple with love at their July wedding. It was clear throughout the day how much love and support Kathryn and Dan have as they start their new lives together. Their guests had a blast laughing and dancing the night away to commemorate this beautiful new union.
