This sweet couple met on Tinder – they both swiped right! One of the things that struck me most about Kathryn and Dan’s relationship is their total and complete honesty with each other, including about how they met. In today’s world, it can be so difficult to meet someone, and even dating apps present a risk. Both say that their initial thoughts upon meeting each other, after first chatting through Tinder, was one of relief. After all, they were in the online dating game at the time, and you never know who will show up. Too right, you are my friends! Good thing that Kathryn and Dan were one hundred percent honest in their profiles because it made for a pleasant surprise for both of them. Their love story took off from that very first meeting.

Over time, Kathryn and Dan each had separate moments where they just knew the other person was the person they were going to be with for the rest of their lives. Those moments are defining in a relationship. In the end, these lovebirds decided to intertwine their lives for good during a beautiful July wedding ceremony in Washington, IL!

To an Elegant July Wedding…

I feel so blessed to have been present for this incredible day. Kathryn and Dan were so happy in love that it was impossible not to feel overjoyed by their emotions! Their little smiles, sweet glances, and pure joy was just a reminder to me that love is the most amazing element in the world. Seriously, what would we do without love? I don’t even like to think about it!

The bride and groom chose a theme of elegant simplicity to characterize their wedding and reception. With a color scheme of white and slate blue, the couple added a sense of whimsy, romance, and simplicity to their summer wedding. Their ceremony took place at St. Mark’s Lutheran Church in Washington, IL. They each shared looks of pure devotion when they exchanged their vows and said “I do”, and it was humbling to capture this touching moment as they took their first step on the adventure of marriage.

Following an adorable send off, in which the guests showered the newlyweds with flower petals, they made their way to the Cannery in Eureka, IL for the reception. This grand warehouse venue was full of wooden details and rustic charm. It was the perfect location that continued to complement Kathryn and Dan’s elegantly simple wedding day.

To Embarking on Life’s Greatest Adventure!

All of Kathryn and Dan’s family came together to celebrate the beautiful couple at their July wedding, and everyone had the best time. The guests rocked the dance floor, laughing and dancing the night away to celebrate this beautiful new union. Throughout it all, it was clear just how much love, support, and appreciation that Kathryn and Dan have as they start their lives together.
