Welcome to married life, Laura and Brandon! This sweet couple’s Magnolia Urban Garden wedding in Kansas City, MO was an incredible celebration and the perfect beginning to a life full of laughter, happiness, and love. From time-honored traditions to the personal touches like their dog Diesel joining in the fun, Laura and Brandon swept into married life in style. It was an honor to capture their love story and the start of this new chapter in their lives.
Laura and Brandon were friends before they started dating. And isn’t that the best way to be with the person who becomes your forever partner?? Laura says that Brandon ticked her into meeting him for happy hour, just the two of them. She thought their friends were supposed to meet them, but no one else showed up. Sneaky Brandon! They ended up talking for hours, and it felt like no time had passed it all. Once they started dating, it was clear that Laura and Brandon complement each other in the best ways. As a couple, their favorite date night is going to Twin City Tavern, a hole-in-the-wall bar, with their couple friends, eating dinner at their favorite Mexican restaurant, and then staying at the restaurant to paly spot the difference. They will also never say no to grabbing Ben and Jerry’s ice cream for dessert – Half-Baked, of course. Through it all, they are ready to spend the rest of their lives together!
Laura and Brandon’s beautiful wedding at the Magnolia Urban Garden was one to be remembered. The unique and personal aspects of their wedding were the traditions they incorporated to honor their loved ones. Laura wore a pin in remembrance of her paternal grandmother, and all of the flowers were white in her honor. The couple also included a sparkly cake topper in honor of Laura’s maternal grandmother. While weddings are joyous times, it can also be difficult when there are some loved ones who cannot be there because they have passed away. The idea of honoring them is so heartfelt, in that it helps it feel like they are there and a major part of your special day – and Laura and Brandon did this so beautifully.
Of course, the personal touches didn’t end with Laura’s side of the family. The newly weds used toasting glasses that were an heirloom of Brandon’s side of the family. What a fun addition to add a family touch like toasting glasses that can be passed on from generation to generation! Traditions like this help make your day unique, personal, and extra special to you as the couple.
In addition to the traditions and personal touches, Laura and Brandon incorporated a fun wedding hashtag for their Magnolia Urban Garden wedding. Because their initials are BLT, they chose #BLTgetshitched. It’s always so fun to see the wedding hashtags that couples come up with because it not only shows off their creativity, but also their personalities. They used this hashtag and had adorable match boxes with the BLT logo on them…how cute!
Congrats to the happy couple!
