Bridget & Nathan’s Chicago Lakefront Wedding

Couples who adventure together, stay together! Not only that, they also have the best time together, and Bridget and Nathan’s Chicago lakefront wedding at the Columbia Yacht Club was evidence of this. From a romantic ceremony to a lively reception, their wedding day perfectly embodied their personalities and was a great way to set sail on their next adventure…marriage!

First…the First Date

Bridget and Nathan met at a party for Nathan’s work. Bridget’s neighbor at the time worked with Nathan, and so Bridget also stopped by the party, where fate was already beginning to weave its romantic web! Nathan remembers thinking to himself, “Who is this cute girl at our work party that does not work with us?” He would soon find out; although, he had no way of knowing he would one day marry her in a Chicago wedding! Bridget started working at the same company seven months later, and the two went on their first date about a year after they initially met. Nathan says that due to Bridget’s relationship with his boss, he knew he needed to really like this girl to mess with that scenario. And like her he did! While it took Bridget a few dates to realize her interest, these two lovebirds soon embarked on their dating adventure.

Second…Love

Both started to think it was meant to be when Bridget headed to grad school in New York, and they had to do long distance. They went into it with open minds and no strict plans, but still ended up wanting to talk almost every day. Nathan specifically remembers asking Bridget where she would go if the whole world was an option, and she responded with Patagonia and Nepal. For Nathan, travel has always been a big part of his life and finding someone with a similar travel interest and style was a great early sign. Bridget remembers being devasted when she moved to NYC and left Nathan behind. She had known she loved him before leaving, but the move really punched her in the gut, and it was clear that she wanted him to stay in her life for a long time yet!

Third…An Adventurous Courtship

As a couple, Bridget and Nathan really are a blast. Together, they love hiking, biking, working out, going out on fun dinner dates, and supporting each other’s interests. Bridget and Nathan also like to travel together, and they have been to Israel, Switzerland, and many more destinations in the US. They like to split their meals, which many of their friends think is the cutest, as it seems like a difficult thing to achieve without an argument. I’ve got to say, I agree! Through their journey as a couple, Nathan has come to love how much fun he has with his leading lady. Regardless of whether it’s going to dinner and a show or to a bar for some wings and basketball, he loves that she is and will always be his best friend. Bridget loves that Nathan likes to be lazy, but also enjoys getting up early to hike. Together, these two are sure to move mountains, starting with their Chicago Lakefront Wedding!

Finally…A Chicago Lakefront Wedding!

This sweet couple’s Chicago lakefront wedding was an absolute dream, and the perfect way to celebrate their unity and love. Bridget and Nathan were so excited about their reception venue because it was unique for both locals and out-of-towners. With this lakefront venue, they were able to show off the beautiful city of Chicago and the lakefront, which they love so much. And it certainly made for some stunning wedding photos! The elegant colors of black cherry and navy contributed to a mature yet comfortable style that helped both the wedding party and all of the guests to have a seamless day of fun. During their Chicago wedding, it was plain to see just how perfectly these now newlyweds fit together. They help bring out the adventurous side of one another, and it will be so exciting to see where they decide to explore next!

Here’s to many more years of adventures!
