Bridget & Nathan’s Chicago Lakefront Wedding

I guarantee you have never met a couple quite as adventurous and unique as Bridget and Nathan. From their extreme love of traveling to their cute way of sharing a meal when they go out to eat together there is something about the two of them together that works perfectly. Their Chicago wedding reception at the Columbia Yacht Club along with pictures by the river made for a gorgeous backdrop on this couple’s special day. The red bridesmaid dresses and navy touches added to their nautical reception venue.

Bridget and Nathan met at a summer party that was a work party for Nathan at Bridget’s neighbor house. Bridget started working at the same company 7 months later and they went on their first date about a year after they first met. Nathan knew that since Bridget was friend’s with his boss that he needed to take this relationship seriously and really like her so as not to mess up his relationship with his boss. It took Bridget a few dates for her to realize how much she liked Nathan, but once she did she was crazy about him. Bridget loves how encouraging and supportive he is. The couple knew it was meant to be after Bridget when to grad school in New York and even with being long distance they still made every effort to see each other as often as possible and to talk nearly everyday.

A specific moment when Nathan knew that Bridget could be the one was when she shared his same love of travel. On one of their first dates Nathan asked, “Where would go if the whole world was an option? Bridget said, “Patagonia and Nepal.” Travel has always a big part of Nathan’s life and finding out that Bridget shared similar travel interest was a great early sign. Nathan has been to all 50 states and loves to hike mountains. Bridget has also had her share of adventure in China while she was a gymnast in high school. During their Chicago wedding it was plain to see just how perfectly these two fit together. They help bring out the adventurous side of each other and love spending time exploring new places together.

I’m all about preserving those moments that tell your story.

Whether it’s four feet ankle-deep in mud, tenderly clasped hands, a happy tear cascading over a cheek, a hair-back laugh or a sun-drenched kiss,

The ones that move you. Bind you. Bring you together and keep you together long after the memory fades.
