Maggy and Lucas had met several times over the years through Maggy’s cousin. Lucas was her cousin’s college roommate. However, it wasn’t until Maggy’s cousin’s wedding that the two really hit it off. Both Maggy and Lucas were in the wedding and spent a few days laughing and participating in various wedding festivities. At the wedding Lucas asked Maggy to dance and the rest was history. Maggy says “We new pretty early on that we could be in it for the long haul. We went together without forcing it and we loved spending time with one another.”
Lucas’s first impression of Maggy was that she was witty, quiet, and beautiful. She could make anyone laugh and was always down for a food challenge. Maggy’s first impression of Lucas was that she immediately knew that she had met someone very special. His character stood out to her, along with how incredibly handsome he is.
As a couple Maggy and Lucas love spending time with their families. They say no matter where they go home is always where the heart is; making it their favorite place to travel too. Their families are so support of everything they do and Maggy and Lucas both say how lucky they are to have such two amazing families in their lives because when you get married you marry that person’s entire family as well.
Maggy and Lucas took some of their adorable engagement pictures in front of her house in Shelbyville, IL. And fun fact Maggy’s dad helped create the park that some of their pictures were taken in. It was plain to see during their engagement session Maggy and Lucas’s love of life and love for each other. The couple enjoys going to cooking classes together, eating Ben and Jerry’s ice cream and checking out up and coming musical acts…what more could you want from life?! We are wishing Maggy and Lucas nothing but continued happiness and can’t wait for their wedding in July of 2019.
