Emily and Nick got married at the Pear Tree Estate in Champaign, Illinois in the month of October. I had the honor of being their wedding photographer and capturing all the lovely moments on their special day. This sweet young couple looked upbeat and the event was a fun affair.
Emily and Nick met on Plenty of Fish. Their first date was in September 2016 at Biaggis. Following Saturday, Nick invited Emily for a steak dinner that night and a movie. They both knew that night, the connection they had was something special.
Nick said it was Emily’s laid back personality which made him feel comfortable. Emily said she was impressed by how much of a gentleman he was.
Emily loves Nick’s sense of humor and how he can build her up when she is feeling down. She likes it that Nick is a family man. She loves the way he looks at her and tells her he loves her or tells her that she is beautiful at random times of any day. Emily says Nick is a genuine listener. He is a huge Michael Jackson fan so he shows Emily his dance moves often to impress her and she can’t stop adoring him every time he does that. Emily says his dancing skills are amazing and he is a hit wherever he decides to showcase his skills.
Emily and Nick are both big on traveling. They love to go out on trips and indulge in some fun and adventure. The two have found happiness in running the boring errands. They go out on grocery shopping or take the car to get an oil change. With Emily working during the day and Nick working nights, they hardly get to see each other throughout the week, so weekends are what they truly cherish together with whatever it may be.
They spend their precious weekends watching a good movie or a series on Netflix together. They love their two pups at home. They like going on small weekend getaway trips as much as possible. As a couple they make sure they do a few date nights here and there.
I began taking wedding photos with Emily getting ready for her big day. She looked so lovely and graceful in her bridal gown. Her bracelet, earring, head-piece were so awesome. Nick looked handsome in his dark grey suit, teamed up with a burgundy tie and a matching pocket square. He wore brown shoes.
I photographed Emily with her bridesmaids before they proceeded towards the ceremony venue. The pretty bridesmaids wore burgundy gowns. Emily’s uncle, Jeff Naas, was the officiant at their wedding. It was a simple yet elegant wedding ceremony.
After the ceremony, I photographed the group of bridesmaids and groomsmen together. Just after this, I got the golden chance of stealing the couple away for some time to get some awesome couple portraits. The photographs came out really well, especially, the ones which were set against the sunset. Pear Tree Estates gorgeous property helped me to get great photographs of the couple.
At the reception hall, the guests had a lot of fun and enjoyed a great meal. It was a nicely decorated venue. Nick and Emily made a formal exit with beautiful fireworks.
It was a great wedding ceremony and reception. I enjoyed photographing every bit of it. Nick and Emily, thank you! Have a great life ahead.
