Lorena and Nick’s Easton United Methodist Church Wedding

Easton United Methodist Church Wedding RACHAEL SCHIRANO photography

Love wins against all odds. This saying rings true in the case of Lorena and Nick. This beautiful couple got married in April, 2020 amid the COVID-19 crisis in a simple and cute ceremony at the Easton United Methodist Church in Easton of Illinois.

It was such a lovely spring wedding and I loved being Lorena and Nick’s wedding photographer. It was a pleasure documenting your love in these testing times, Lorena and Nick.

Love For Animals Brought Them Together

Lorena and Nick met at a friend’s place 2 years ago in February. Lorena says she just knew it right then that they were meant to be. After spending some time together, Lorena and Nick felt as if they had known each other their whole life.

Lorena told me she found Nick to be attractive but was worried his personality wouldn’t hold up. Then she found out he loved animals as much as she did and decided to give him a chance just for that. Nick said he had found Lorena to be really cute.

So after some time together and becoming sure of their love, Nick and Lorena decided to formalize their relationship. Nick proposed to Lorena at midnight on New Year’s Eve and Lorena, most certainly, said yes! Lorena says it was funny because she is not a night owl and was half asleep when the proposal took place. She says she found it embarrassing for quite a long time.

As a couple, Lorena and Nick are adventurous and love to be outdoors and hiking. They also love their 2 cats. In their own words, they love to be silly and make each other laugh. Lorena loves Nick’s supportive nature and Nick is a great fan of Lorena’s goofiness. They both like Chinese and Mexican food.

For her wedding at the Easton United Methodist Church, Lorena dressed up in a cute frock style white lacey dress. She had a pretty hair accessory on. She wore a bracelet and earrings to match with her attire. Her footwear was a cool pair of wedge sandals. Nick, on the other hand, looked charming in a dark blue shirt and grey trousers. He completed his look with a black belt and black shoes.

I loved photographing Lorena and Nick’s first look. Their love reflected in their eyes and they were in such a happy space. Nick and Lorena’s wedding was romantic with some rustic elements.

I enjoyed capturing the newly-wedded couple amidst greenery as they embraced each other and shared love-filled glances. I also photographed Loren and Nick with their beautiful Husky.

It was an intimate affair. Lorena and Nick wish to host a reception sometime later when the COVID situation improves. Lorena and Nick, a big congratulations to you two and good times ahead.
