Last year, I had the honor of capturing super fun engagement photos of Kedryn and Jordan – these two really know how to have a good time! In June of this year, these sweethearts got hitched. Yay for all their love and happiness! Their classic and elegant wedding took place outdoors, and it couldn’t have been more perfect. Just like during their engagement session, Kedryn and Jordan were full of smiles and laughter, which made for an incredible day and stunning photos.
Kedryn and Jordan both played intramural ultimate frisbee at North Central College in Naperville, IL, and this is where their story began. Although they didn’t technically meet for some time, Kedryn recalls stalking her future beau around campus for a good part of the year prior to their first meeting. She had seen him multiple times, and wanted to talk to the handsome man. Yeah girl, way to go after what you want. Obviously, it worked out well because (spoiler alert) these two eventually tie the knot!
When Kedyrn and Jordan finally met, they hit it off right away. These sweethearts love to laugh with each other and joke around, and they are incredibly sarcastic. Kedryn appreciates Jordan’s sense of humor, his willingness to go out of his way to do things for her, and the fact that he laughs at her puns. She says that he’s not a missing piece of her, but that he makes her want to be the best she can be. Jordan loves that Kedryn is compassionate, clever, driven, patient, talented, and funny (of course). Together, they share an easy playfulness that is both personal and welcoming, and it is so easy to see that they truly are best friends.
Throughout their relationship, this fun-loving couple has learned how to support each other and appreciate their time together. Kedryn and Jordan enjoy adventuring and being active, especially spending time outdoors – from hiking to going to the beach to riding bikes. Their adventures have also led them to fun places around the world. They have explored Canada, Scotland, Ireland, London, and Thailand together, and are intent on traveling as they continue their journey as a married couple. For their honeymoon, they are planning a romantic trip to Italy and Greece! Of course, while they enjoy trying new things, these two are not opposed to relaxing on the couch and watching Netflix. I just love how playful, relaxed, and comfortable their love is!
On June 1, 2019, Kedryn and Jordan said “I do” in a classic and elegant ceremony at Luthy Botanical Garden in Peoria, IL. We’re not surprised that this active couple chose an outdoor venue to say their vows! Everything about their special day radiated with chic sophistication, from the colors of light blue, navy, and pink to the personal touches dispersed throughout. The greenery of the garden offered an authentic and natural atmosphere that was comfortable and inviting. Kedryn and Jordan incorporated the Sai Sin ceremony, a Thai tradition, in which a white thread that has been blessed is tied around the heads of both the bride and groom, representing protection and good health. This was an incredibly unique and special moment!
The remainder of Kedryn and Jordan’s big day was full of laughter, dancing, and celebration with all of their family and friends. Their reception took place at Trailside Event Center, and every moment was pure magic, from the couple’s first dance to the loving toasts to all the happy tears to each stolen glance. It was a day that these two will remember for the rest of their lives!
Congratulations, you cute lovebirds!
