Wise words from Maggy, the beautiful bride of a romantic Pear Tree Estate wedding in Champaign, IL this summer. She and her new spouse Lucas have amazing families, and their wedding ceremony was a great celebration for both the newlyweds and their families!
For these two, family is really central to their love story. It was even a family event that brought Maggy and Lucas together in the first place. Although Maggy and Lucas had met each other several times over the years, it wasn’t until the Maggy’s cousin’s wedding in June 2017 that they really hit it off. Both were in the wedding party, and they spent days laughing and having a great time together. Lucas asked Maggy to dance, and let’s just say, the rest is history! Over the many times he had met Maggy, Lucas remembers thinking that she was witty, quiet, and beautiful – and their dance solidified his feelings on the matter. Maggy was just as taken with Lucas, even telling her father that night that she would marry Lucas. It’s all about timing, and this wedding was the perfect event for all the pieces of their love story to fall into place. They knew pretty early on that they would be in it for the long haul. They went together without forcing anything, and they simply loved spending time with each other.
Lucas and Maggy grew closer and closer until they knew they wanted to spend their lives together. I was blessed enough to capture some cute photos of the dynamic duo during an engagement session in Maggy’s hometown of Shelbyville, IL (check out the photos here). And if you think those pictures show off their love, just wait until you see their wedding photos!
Maggy and Lucas said their “I do’s” in a romantic wedding ceremony on July 19, 2019 at the Pear Tree Estate in Champaign. This summer wedding was complete with beautiful flowers, handwritten love letters, loving toasts, dancing, and “brownie point” guest gifts. With colors of blush and navy, in addition to the newlywed’s love and the joyous support of their families, the romantic wedding seemed as though it came right out of a fairytale!
Following the ceremony and reception, Maggy and Lucas set off for a relaxing and intimate honeymoon in Northern California, so they could start their new lives together in peaceful bliss!
