I had so much fun with Anna and Bruce during their nature engagement session. It was evident through their entire session that this is a couple that truly loves, cares, and supports each other. They couldn’t keep their eyes off of one another, and every stolen glance glowed with joy and love. Their smiles, constant laughter, and sweet kisses made for incredible photos that showed off their personalities and joy at starting the next chapter in their lives. The day was absolutely perfect!
Anna and Bruce met when Bruce was on leave from the Army while he was in transition to his next duty station in El Paso, TX. When she first met her Army man, Anna thought to herself that she didn’t know there was a guy that existed that was as nice and good-looking as Bruce. In the same thread, Bruce couldn’t believe how gorgeous his future bride was. After getting to know Anna, and before he was supposed to leave for his next station, Bruce knew he had to see Anna again.
He drove to Muncie, where she was going to school, and they went out to dinner. Although they had planned to get drinks afterward, these cute homebodies decided they’d rather spend their time in a more intimate setting so they could get to know each other better. They grabbed a case of beer, watched Beauty and the Beast on Anna’s laptop, and talked for hours. Anna said she had a permanent smile on her face the entire night – probably the exact one she wore during her and Bruce’s nature engagement shoot! It was during that time that Anna knew they shared something special. After two months of only seeing each other during daily FaceTime chats, Anna flew to El Paso to see him – from then on, they knew it was meant to be!
As a couple, Bruce and Anna are super laid back. They love to stay in, eat dinner, and drink wine. Besides enjoying their time together at home, these two also love to travel and golf. Of course, one of their trips is one they are not ever going to forget! Bruce had a four-day weekend, so he and his to-be fiancé planned a quick trip to the quaint little town of Ruidoso, New Mexico. The plan was to have a relaxing weekend of exploring, eating, and drinking. They were really excited because it had just snowed, so there was going to be snow in the mountains. The couple left on a Friday morning and arrived in Ruidoso around lunch time. Anna wanted to stop for lunch, but Bruce wanted to go to the hotel first – probably because he had something glittery and shiny in his pocket *wink wink*!
In the end, they went to lunch first, but later enjoyed the gorgeous view of the snow-covered mountains from their balcony. Later, Bruce suggested that they take a walk and get a picture before the sun went down. Little did Anna know what was about to happen next! While they walked around, there was only one other couple around, so Bruce went to ask them to take their photo. At the time, Anna didn’t realize that he was actually asking them to take a video of the proposal. Sooo cute! They came over with Bruce, and then after a few cute couple photos, Bruce got down on one knee and asked his sweet Anna to marry him. Anna says that this was, without a doubt, the best moment of her life!
So, what’s the best way to celebrate the engagement of such a fun-loving and charming couple as these two? A nature engagement session of course! Anna and Bruce were all smiles during their engagement session, feeling at ease and comfortable in the natural setting and surrounded by beautiful greenery. The backdrop was only outdone by the larger-than-life personalities and smiles of Bruce and Anna. There is no doubt that these two absolutely adore one another. I think we are all looking forward to seeing the next step of their journey…as husband and wife!
