Everyone knows that Disney World is the happiest and most magical place on earth, but not everyone gets to claim this enchanted park as their own special place. Ellen and Mike do, though, and how wonderful it is for them! Even their vintage and romantic wedding included elements to show to their love of this fun park!

Disney is Where Their Magic Began

For these sweet lovebirds, Disney World is where they had their first date. It is where they fell in love. It is where all their dreams started to come true! On their second date, Ellen and Mike were already picking out rings because when you know, you know. For a couple of Disney fans, how perfect is it that they get to claim theirs as a true fairytale romance? I just love everything about their story!

It comes as no surprise that this storybook couple’s vintage and romantic wedding in Peoria, IL paid homage to their Disney roots. I even got to snap a few photos of the wedding party sporting their mouse ears – how cute is that?

A Vintage and Romantic Wedding with Magical Elements

The wedding ceremony took place at the gorgeous Cathedral of Saint Mary, and the couple added many of their own touches that made the day perfect. The vintage and romantic theme was characterized by greenery and neutral colors of champagne and dusty rose. In line with the theme, Ellen added three vintage charms to her handmade, brooch bouquet with pictures of her grandparents, who had passed away. The bouquet was an elegant way to showcase Ellen’s personality, as well as a sweet way to include the family that could not physically be with her on the big day.

Following the ceremony, the reception took place at the Warehouse on State in Peoria. The industrial feel, wooden elements, and twinkly lights provided a fabulously romantic atmosphere. The vintage decorations and centerpieces were carefully crafted by Ellen, and it was wonderful to see how much care and attention she gave the little details, so that wedding and reception was uniquely hers and Mike’s!

A Honeymoon where It All Started

After their vintage and romantic wedding, can you guess where Ellen and Mike went on their honeymoon? Disney World, of course! Back to where their story began to celebrate their new beginning. As annual pass holders, you can bet they will find themselves in their happy place quite often making more lifelong memories. Here’s to the newest Disney prince and princess!
