Yay for weddings in new places! For Anna and Donny’s romantic and rustic barn wedding, I had the opportunity to make may way down to Novinger, Missouri. And I’m so glad I did! These cute lovebirds tied the knot and celebrated their marriage on a beautiful day in October at The Barn in Novinger. The weather was perfect, the scenery stunning, and the atmosphere romantic. Although everything about their day was amazing, nothing compared to the love that radiated so strongly between Anna and Donny!

A Happy Couple

Both the wedding ceremony and reception were breathtaking, rustic, and romantic. Throughout the day, Anna and Donny only had eyes for each other. Donny looked at Anna as though she’s the only woman in the world, and to him – she really is. Every time Anna looked at her other half, it was so easy to see the joy and love in her eyes. Neither seemed to let the chaos and busy parts of the wedding – because, trust me, there is a little bit of chaos in any wedding – get to them at all.

Anna and Donny were so focused on simply being together and getting ready to spend the rest of their lives as a happily married couple. Of course, at the end of the day, that’s really what it is all about! Their wedding day was picture-perfect, and it was great to see them so happy and surrounded by all their family and friends, who were nearly as excited as they were!

A Romantic Church Wedding

The ceremony took place at Mary Immaculate Catholic Church. Anna and Donny decided not to do a first look prior to the ceremony, which made the moment they first locked eyes in the church that much more special! As she walked down the aisle wearing her sister’s veil, Donny’s face lit up. His smile conveyed so much in that one moment – that he was so in love with the beautiful girl walking toward him, that he couldn’t believe he was marrying the woman of his dreams, and that he was so excited to spend eternity with his Anna. Anna herself was all smiles as she walked arm-in-arm with her father, there was no way anyone could take that smile off her face!

A Rustic Barn Reception

Following the ceremony, everyone made their way to The Barn for the reception – and boy, did it impress! The 1940s barn had been recently renovated for modern events, while still maintaining its country roots. It was rustic, yet sophisticated, with breathtaking views, and it was the perfect location for celebrating Anna and Donny’s once-in-a-lifetime day. The sweet couple chose colors of navy, burgundy, and gold to create a rustic and romantic vibe. With these colored accents, strings of dainty lights, and the woodland-like décor, it was like stepping into a forested fairytale! There were wood signs directing guests where to go, barrels and lanterns placed throughout the space, and greenery tastefully draped along the walls and the bar. I especially loved the simplistic decorating of the cake – it perfectly embodied the down-to-earth and easy-going nature of the happy couple!

All in all, I’d say Anna and Donny’s romantic and rustic wedding was absolutely perfect. Capturing their romantic, goofy, awkward, and adorable personalities was truly a special treat. Wishing these sweethearts all the best on their next adventure!
