Introducing Jeff and Vanessa Carlson! These two lovebirds tied the knot in a beautiful July wedding ceremony at Orchard Ridge Farms in Rockton, Illinois. Their day was full of laughter, sweet smiles, loving looks, holding hands, and pure joy. It was such a blast to witness this amazing couple say, “I do,” and begin their next adventure together.

Vanessa and Jeff met while working at the same restaurant in Chicago together. They were friends first, but after getting to know each other, they knew it was a match made in heaven! When she first met her future husband, Vanessa thought that Jeff was different than any other guy she had ever spoken to before. He genuinely wanted to get to know her and put in the time to do so. Jeff was just as taken with his future bride. Upon meeting Vanessa, Jeff realized that she was the type of girl that doesn’t come around that often. He loved that she was genuine and kind-hearted, and he was acutely aware that only a very lucky guy could be with someone like her! (Yes, I might be swooning right now!)

A Love for the Ages

Jeff said he always knew it was meant to be from the moment he started to get to know Vanessa. For Vanessa, she knew their relationship was the real deal when she saw how many passions and priorities they have in common – from a love of their families, a desire to travel the world, and how much they value having a partnership. These sweethearts love making each other laugh and trying new experiences together. Vanessa especially loves Jeff’s natural desire for adventure, and she knows life will never be boring with him by her side. Jeff is head over heals for Vanessa’s sense of humor. He says, “I always thought that I was funny, and then I found someone who is even funnier than me. A day does not go by that Vanessa can’t make me laugh.”

Besides trying new things and making each other laugh, Jeff and Vanessa also love to explore the world. Their first trip ever was to Denver, Colorado for Jeff’s 30^th birthday, where they hopped around to different breweries and tried some cool restaurants. Throughout the US, they have also been to Miami; Portland, Maine; North Carolina; and New York City. They have also traveled internationally, including to Puerto Rico, the Philippines, Mexico, and Italy. Of course, we can’t forget their Canada trip – where Jeff proposed! He obviously knows his bride well to propose while on a romantic excursion!

A Wedding at Orchard Ridge Farms

This incredible romance culminated in a beautiful July wedding at Orchard Ridge Farms. The ceremony was outdoors, which made for a stunning backdrop. Vanessa and Jeff chose natural colors to complement their love of the outdoors and their venue. Hints of green in the bridesmaid dresses, whites incorporated in the décor, and mauve-colored flowers in the bouquet all came together to fit their rustic and bohemian vibe of the day.

The Orchard Ridge Farms venue itself is what truly made the day unique. It was exactly what this couple was looking for to complete their wedding. Stunning details created gorgeous photos, and it was the perfect place for the couple to start their new lives together. While the venue was amazing, Vanessa and Jeff were the real stars of the show (obviously)! We captured both candid and posed shots that truly showed off their personalities and love for each other. They will be able to look back on these photos and feel the emotion and happiness they felt on their wedding day. Can’t wait to see where their journey takes them next!
