On a beautiful fall day in 2018, Teagan and Michael vowed to love each other #ForTretterOrWorse. Wedding hashtags are such a fun way for the bride and groom to add some personality to their big day, and I’d say Teagan and Michael nailed it! The now Mr. and Mrs. Tretter entertained their family and friends in a gorgeous ceremony and reception that highlighted their love for each other. It truly was a day full of magic and love!

High School Sweethearts

Teagan and Michael met in high school. Yes, theirs is a wonderful tale of high school sweethearts that stayed together through thick and thin, overcome obstacles, and loved each other every step of the way. Upon meeting each other, Teagan was immediately captivated by Michael’s cute soccer player vibe, while Michael was drawn in by his future wife’s beautiful eyes. The lovebirds connected right away and began dating in 2009. The rest, as they say, is history. A beautiful, loving, adoring history!

As a couple, Teagan and Michael love spending their lives together. Much of their free time is spent with their cute puppy, but they also enjoy going to Cubs games, watching TV shows, and traveling. Through life’s ups and downs, they have stuck together, and their love grows stronger every day. Teagan says she loves Michael’s sense of humor, while Michael is happy to have found a leading lady that likes to watch and play sports with him.

After nearly a decade together, they decided to tie the knot. To celebrate their engagement, I had the fun opportunity to snap some cute photos of this adorable duo at an Indiana University for their engagement session. Check out their engagement photos here. Of course, those photos were just a taste of the magic we would be capturing on their big day!

The Big Day

Teagan and Michael celebrated their big day on September 9, 2018 at Illinois Wesleyan. The day radiated with a classic elegance, as colors of burgundy and navy were interspersed with rich gold accents. Prior to the ceremony, the lovebirds took some time for themselves to do a first look and exchange gifts. This is such a great way for the bride and groom to get some alone time and truly soak in the magnitude and wonder of their big day! The ceremony was full of love and laughter, and even some unique personal touches. Michael’s cousin Janette sang during the ceremony, accompanied by Kyle Yap on the guitar. Of course, it was the pure love of the couple that captivated Michael and Teagan’s guests during the ceremony and the reception.

The high school sweethearts turned newlyweds wasted no time in heading to their honeymoon destination, Bora Bora, right after their wedding. What a great way to get some alone time and enjoy the first moments of marriage! Congratulations, Michael and Teagan!
