Like true Chicagoans, Lauren and Trevor share a love of deep-dish pizza and exploring the iconic city with their pup. As lovers of the Windy City, we obviously had to capture the city magic in a classy Chicago engagement shoot for this adorable couple!

College Sweethearts

Lauren and Trevor met in college at the University of Iowa. The two had a lot of mutual friends, and they kept running into each other at different parties. Although it took Trevor a little bit of time to work up the nerve to talk to Lauren, they hit if off almost immediately. Of course, Lauren had also had her eye on Trevor, so she was glad when he finally came up and started a conversation! Isn’t it crazy to think that it’s small moments like this one that can change the course of history forever? I mean, that’s what it did for Lauren and Trevor! Fate has a way of making things happen, that’s for sure! This cute duo started dating officially during their second semester of school, and they both were certain early on in the relationship that they would one day be husband and wife.

Since then, Lauren and Trevor have been inseparable. These sweethearts love spending time together, playing with their dog, and exploring Chicago. They have their favorite “go-to” restaurants in the city, including Willow Room, Sunda, Mott St., and Roots. Trevor even proposed at Lincoln Park! To say the city is a big part of their lives is an understatement! Their love of Chicago made the city a perfect backdrop for their classy Chicago engagement shoot.

We captured Lauren and Trevor’s love story with the stunning Chicago skyline in the background. And let me tell you – It. Was. Amazing.! Not only did the city provide an incredible setting for urban-style engagement photos, the love between Lauren and Trevor was truly evident because they were in their happy place. From stolen kisses on the river to strolling on the lakefront, this shoot encompassed classy and elegant Chicago romance. I can’t wait for their upcoming June wedding and their reception at the Bloomington Center for the Performing Arts.
