As a wedding photographer in the beautiful state of Illinois, I can say that my job is truly the best. Besides capturing enchanting photos that capitalize on the alluring scenery, I get to meet the most adoring couples. I recently photographed the wedding of Cara and Ryan Friedman, and it was magical!

This city girl and country boy met at a Cubs game, when a mutual friend brought Ryan to tag along. Cara was initially drawn in by Ryan’s cowboy boots, while Ryan thought that he would never have a chance with Cara. How glad we are that was not the case!

It would seem that opposites really do attract in the case of these two sweethearts. Cara likes chocolate, neutral colors, and waking up early. Ryan prefers vanilla, bright colors, and sleeping in. Yet, when it comes to being together, they are like two peas in a pod. They enjoy doing everything together – from day-to-day errands, dinner and movie date nights, and spending time with family and friends. They especially love going to country music concerts, and always try to go to as many as possible.

As this beautiful couple has grown together, they have enjoyed getting to know each other more and more every day. Cara adores the soft side hidden under Ryan’s rugged, hard-working, and manly exterior. Ryan is drawn to Cara’s selfless personality of always putting others first. It is clear that these two are meant for each other!

Of course, their September wedding at the Pear Tree was absolutely perfect.

Prior to the ceremony, the couple shared a first look that was swoon-worthy. In just one glance, it was evident the love Cara and Ryan have for each other. The ceremony was just as amazing, as the couple stood surrounded by pastel flowers, gold and rustic accents, and of course their family and friends. The bride looked radiant in her gorgeous, beaded dress as she and her groom lit their unity candles and exchanged their vows. Each and every moment was filled with love, affection, and happiness!

It was a wonderful experience to capture these lovebirds on their special day, and I cannot wait to see what their future holds!
