It all started with a beer for Renee and Chris, who met at a mutual friend’s pre-concert party before a summer Rascal Flatts concert.

Though Renee and Chris went to the same grammar school, they were a few years apart and didn’t meet until years later…at that pre-concert party. Chris, a friend of Renee’s brother, picked them up for the concert and the pair immediately hit it off. There was an instant attraction as the two fell into easy, natural conversation. Throughout the night, Chris continued to buy Renee beers (and we all know those concert beers aren’t cheap), all the while putting his arm around Renee and joking with her brother about buying her beer. Really, it was that night and the beer that brought them together, something that would become a standing joke in their relationship.

After the concert, this country-loving duo started meeting up for drinks, going out on dates, and the rest is history! Renee and Chris are a fun, outgoing couple that love to do everything together. From going to country concerts (obviously) to watching Sox games to hanging out with friends and family, they are always up for having a good time. Their favorite place to go together is Michigan to visit family, and they are excited to plan more trips as a married couple. They even enjoy running errands together…and if that’s not a great foundation to a long and healthy relationship, what is??

The day of their wedding was full of love, excitement, friends and family. The love between the happy couple was nearly tangible as they laughed together, danced until their feet hurt, and shared their first kiss as husband and wife. Of course, their special day wouldn’t have been complete without the first dance song choice – “It All Started with a Beer” by Frankie Ballard. It was the perfect song to dance into the rest of their lives together, one that would always remind them how it all began.
