Young and in love! Anna and Matt’s Chicago Greenhouse engagement shoot was so much fun!

These young lovebirds met through mutual friends at Northwestern. Their first date was getting ice cream together at Bobtail in Chicago. Matt’s first thought when he met his future spouse was that she was so interesting, and he realized that they had a lot in common. Anna couldn’t get over his adorable blue eyes and how much he made her laugh. I’d say those are the best ingredients for a budding romance!

Although they dated long distance for two years, their love never wavered. During that time, Matt would write Anna letters. They were sometimes a surprise and dated for certain events. Such a thoughtful and personal gesture! Anna says that Matt makes her want to be better, while Matt is always amazed at Anna’s love and support. He has said that she supported and encouraged him through some of the hardest times and is blown away by her selfishness.

Aww, the feels!

These sweethearts are always laughing and are never afraid to be silly with one another. It was a blast to see this fun side of them during their engagement shoot! Anna and Matt also love to adventure together. They spend a lot of their time outdoors hiking and rock climbing, and they like to travel. Their favorite trip was to South Africa, and they have started a bucket list to visit every national park!

They knew it was meant to be when they shared a kiss on the Lincoln Park zoo bridge. There were literally fireworks exploding in the background! What a beautiful moment that must have been. Love just has a way of making incredible moments even more magical. Of course, we couldn’t let this engagement session go by without getting photos of this perfect couple on the bridge where it all fell into place. There might not have been real fireworks this time, but there were definitely figurative ones flying between these engaged cuties!

And their love story continues!

Matt proposed to his future wife in Lake Tahoe. They hiked to their favorite spot. It was a hike they had done multiple times while they were dating, and it was one of the first places they talked about the future. The proposal itself was quiet and personal. And of course, Anna said yes!

The couple’s Chicago Greenhouse engagement session was the perfect way to celebrate their love and commitment to each other. Seeing their excitement for life and one another was such a wonderful experience. They are definitely ready to begin the next chapter in their adventure-filled story!
