Katie and Trent’s Pear Tree Estate Wedding

Pear Tree Estate Wedding RACHAEL SCHIRANO photography

Katie and Trent are in love and decided to get married in January at the beautiful Pear Tree Estate in Champaign, IL. They gave me the honor of being their wedding photographer. Katie and Trent, I loved photographing your wedding and being a part of your happy moments.

From A Hesitant Start to A Big Yes!

Katie and Trent’s love story is a cute one. They met through Match.com. Katie had taken a free trial and forgot to cancel the subscription as her father passed away at the end of the trial. It got renewed and she found Trent there. She was very hesitant at the beginning and gave her phone number to him after much time. She even told Trent that she would block him if he texted or called her too much. After two weeks of phone texts and a few calls, Katie and Trent decided to meet each other. Katie drove to Trent’s place in Villa Grove, a small town outside of Champaign because she did not want Trent to come to her house.

That was it. On the first date, Katie met Trent’s sister, niece and nephew. On the second date, she met his entire family. It has been special ever since. Katie says even her family loves Trent and thinks he has been a great support to her after her dad’s passing.

Katie and Trent went out on a trip to Arizona. Trent made many futile attempts to propose to her but lost the chance every time. It was during an ATV trail that Trent found the time and opportunity to propose to Katie.

The trip was a miserable one for 48 hours for Katie but ended up being the best trip of her life. Katie told me that this reminded her that she didn’t need a perfect proposal. It was real life and a lovely one.

January Wedding at Pear Tree Estate.

Katie wore a stunning bridal couture with a lovely glittering belt. She accompanied it with white fur as it was a chilly winter day. Trent was suave in his bright blue Tux with black pants. Their first look photos came out great. I captured Katie and Trent with the bridesmaids and the groomsmen next. As Katie’s dad had passed away and she was missing him dearly on the day of her wedding, Trent, like a true gentleman, walked his bride up the aisle himself. Katie’s bridal party also included the boots of her cousin Jared, who had passed away recently.

The reception party was an elegant and romantic affair, full of dancing and good spirits. I’m so glad I got to photograph Katie and Trent on one of the best days of their lives at Pear Tree Estate.

Thank you for such a lovely evening, Katie and Trent. I loved being your wedding photographer.
