I was so happy to be the wedding photographer for Jenna and Joshua’s rustic and bohemian Kindred Farms wedding. These two were high school sweethearts and have been together ever since. A love that has stood the test of time is such a real joy to photograph. I am so excited to share the wedding photos from their romantic wedding day.
Jenna and Josh first met in high school and they started dating our senior year. Jenna shared that they both knew within a few months into dating, they were meant to be. Josh insists that he knew after their very first date!
It was important to Jenna that she had a partner who got along with her family and made her laugh. Josh has both of those qualities and it was clear very early on that he was “the one.” Josh can make Jenna laugh (even when she’s trying to be mad!). Jenna is a planner. Josh loves how she can help guide him through life since he is NOT a planner. Both Jenna and Josh love being together, and family is very important.
On the day of the wedding, Jenna got ready in her family home with her bridesmaids. Two of her bridesmaids have been her friends since they were in grade school, so they were just over the moon with excitement to see her and Josh finally getting married. I loved how excited they were when they saw Jenna in her wedding gown.
When Jenna was ready, she and Josh had a first look in a beautiful field drenched with warm sunlight. I love photographing weddings for couples who have been in love for a long time. There’s a look that they share that has a blend of trust and adoration. That’s how Jenna and Josh look at each other. From the moment they saw each other in the first look, every glance, every smile, every moment of shared laughter was filled with love, trust, and true appreciation for each other.
The wedding style for this romantic Kindred Farms wedding was the perfect balance of rustic and bohemian. With a lovely blend of ivory, dusty rose, gold, orange and light grey, the color scheme was both soft and fresh. Jenna’s bouquet by Fancy Florals pulled all the colors together. The ceremony was held in a neighbor’s yard with a beautiful arbor decorated with more romantic florals.
Because of the importance of family to the bride and groom, they made it a point to honor and recognize their loved ones. They had a “Family Tree” right outside the reception tent where wedding photos from both of their families were hung, surrounded by twinkling lights. The bride and groom were honored with toasts by the maid of honor, best man, and Father of the bride right after dinner. Then, Jenna and Josh took to the floor for their first dance as husband and wife, to “I Promise to Love Her” by Blane Howard.
Jenna and Josh, I am so happy I was there to photograph your romantic Kindred Farms wedding. I hope you had an amazing honeymoon in Cancun and that your love continues to grow each day.
