When you love each other’s hearts, there isn’t anything that can get in your way of a lifetime of happiness! For Erin and Mike, this is especially true. This sweet couple tied the knot in a beautiful wedding ceremony this summer. Erin and Mike were so excited to incorporate a “California Wine Country” theme into their Champaign, IL wedding, and their entire day was full of love, joy, and endless happiness.

Hearts Full of Love

When these two lovebirds first met, Mike’s first thought was, “What is her name?”. Erin was attracted to her future husband right away, thinking to herself that he was cute. Now, as a couple, the sweethearts love being outdoors and being active. Mike likes to play hockey, while Erin plays volleyball. They love to run, ski, and bike outdoors. Besides being active, both volunteer with 4 Paws 4 Life dog shelter helping to get dogs adopted, and they also get involved with their church in Denver. Together, they have traveled quite a bit, and they plan to travel more in the future. So far, Erin and Mike have been to Iceland, Canada, the Virgin Islands, Miami, Austin, San Diego, Dallas, and the list goes on! Overall, they simply love each other’s hearts, which is what eventually led them to their beautiful, California Wine Country wedding.

California Wine Country Wedding

Erin and Mike wed in a beautifully romantic wedding on July 20, 2019. The stunning ceremony at St. John’s Lutheran Church was followed by an equally incredible and super fun reception at the Champaign Country Club. They incorporated colors of lavender and dark purple, coupled with greenery and white flowers to provide a truly classic feel. The colors, along with the hanging lights in the ballroom, came together perfectly to create that California Wine Country theme that they were so excited for.

The couple made sure to make the day their own by including all kinds of personal touches. The father of the bride wore a tie with a note from his daughter stitched on the back, which said, “Dad, thank you for always walking by my side.” Erin had a handkerchief made from her grandmother’s wedding dress that her grandmother had given her to have on her wedding day. She also donned her mom’s earrings. The groom wore his grandfather’s watch. We were even able to capture photos of the bridal party and the newlywed’s sweet dog. All of these touching gestures demonstrated the crazy amount of love shared among these two families!

After an amazing wedding celebration full of joyful laughter, happy tears, boundless love, and unabashed dancing, Erin and Mike jetted off to their honeymoon in Italy. Here’s to a life full of bliss and adventure for this loving couple!
