Introducing Mr. and Mrs. Heide! Trevor and Lauren’s summer wedding was picture-perfect in every way. From the intimate ceremony at St. Patrick’s Church of Merna to the fun reception at Bloomington Center for the Performing Arts, this special day was full of laughter, happy tears, emotional moments, and pure love. There could have been no better way to celebrate the beginning of Lauren and Trevor’s marriage.
Lauren and Trevor met at the University of Iowa – go Hawks! They both had quite a few mutual friends and kept running into each other at different parties. When Trevor first saw his future wife, he was too nervous to talk to her. It took him a couple of hours to work up the nerve to introduce himself because he thought she was so beautiful. So sweet! He probably didn’t need to be so nervous, though, because Lauren was so excited when Trevor finally came and talked to her. I mean, of course she was! After all, she had seen him a few times before and thought he was super cute. Whenever they would bump into each other after that first meeting, they always ended up talking to each other the whole time. Trevor eventually asked Lauren out on a date right before Christmas break. Although they didn’t see each other over the break, they started dating as soon as they got back to school. They both knew pretty early on in their relationship that it was meant to be.
As a couple, Lauren and Trevor love spending time together and with their dog. Although they like to explore Chicago and try new restaurants with their friends, these lovebirds are never opposed to spending quiet time together at home watching The Office and drinking red wine. Together, they also enjoy eating pizza, watching Broadway shows, and traveling. They try to go on a trip every three to four months – how awesome is that! Stay tuned to find out the awesome places they decided to visit for their honeymoon!
Throughout their time together, Lauren and Trevor have grown to love, care, and respect each other in a truly inspiring way. Lauren says that she loves that her sweet man is kind and selfless. He is always willing to do whatever it takes to make her happy. Trevor loves how compassionate and motivated Lauren is, saying, “She cares for sick children all day and then comes home and always listens to my problems from work.” As they grew closer, these devoted lovebirds knew they wanted to spend forever together. To make it official, they got engaged during a romantic proposal at Lincoln Park.
On June 22, 2019, Lauren and Trevor said “I do,” in a beautiful summer wedding ceremony at St. Patrick’s Church of Merna. There was no first look, so the moment the newlyweds locked eyes on each other as Lauren walked down the aisle was incredibly special. Some might say it is impossible to express so many happy emotions in one look, but the sheer joy, amazement, and love in Lauren and Trevor’s eyes was undeniable. After the happy ceremony, the celebration moved to the Bloomington Center for the Performing Arts. The reception pulsed with a classic and romantic atmosphere, augmented by the colors of blush, gold, and white, in addition to the elegant decorations. Through the laughter and dancing, it was easy to see how excited Lauren and Trevor were to be celebrating this incredible day with all of their friends and family. It was a day that will certainly be remembered by everyone who attended!
Lauren and Trevor danced the night away, and immediately headed to Croatia and Greece for their honeymoon. What a great way to begin their #HappilyEverHeide! Wishing these two all the best as they continue their journey together!
