Introducing the newlyweds…Mr. and Mrs. Moran! Rachel and Nathan’s southern elegance wedding at Central Christian Church in Dacatur, IL was everything they dreamed of and more. Their big day was full of smiles, happy tears, pure joy, and love. It was a pleasure witnessing these sweethearts tying the knot and capturing each moment that made their wedding day so special!

Blind Dates Do Work Out

Rachel and Nathan’s love story began when they were set up by a mutual friend. Both had recently gotten out of relationships, and although Rachel wasn’t interested in dating at the time, she decided to take a chance anyway. She jokingly thought, “Who knows, maybe he will be the one!” Little did she know how right she was! Rachel reached out to Nathan first, but when Nathan finally asked her to meet up for dinner and drinks for him, Rachel told him she would rather do something else. Heck yes to girls knowing what they want and not being afraid to ask for it! Nathan didn’t disappoint, and the fact that he put so much thought into their first date showed Rachel that he was worth her time. And what a first date it was! Nathan sponsors a child through his work at Christmas each year, so they picked out a ton of presents for the kid, ate dinner, and wrapped the gifts together. Crazily enough, both say that they knew it was meant to be on that date. It was just so easy and felt so right, that Rachel knew immediately that she and Nathan were going to share something special. Nathan, on the other hand, was sure it was meant to be as soon as he found out they love all the same sports teams – Cardinals, Green Bay Packers, and Notre Dame Football!

Best Friends Make the Best Partners

As a couple, Rachel and Nathan are always playing jokes on each other and always laughing. So sweet! Most of their free time together is spent exploring the city. They love to try new restaurants, go to the beach, check out festivals, and travel home to see family. Rachel and Nathan are incredibly family-focused, and being with family makes them the happiest. What a great foundation to a great relationship! Of all Nathan’s wonderful qualities, Rachel most adores his patience and support. She says that they moment they started dating, he supported her on every decision she made. He has been her best friend and biggest fan from the very beginning. Cue the heart eyes! Nathan has always loved Rachel’s ambition and that she puts 100% into anything she sets her mind to.

A Wedding Full of Southern Elegance

Rachel and Nathan started their happily ever after in a beautiful wedding ceremony earlier this year. They said their vows in a traditional ceremony held at Central Christian Church, and then moved the celebration to Decatur Club for the reception. With colors of blue, ginger chairs, and gold accents the atmosphere radiated with southern elegance. Throughout the day, we captured a mix of both posed and candid shots. It was wonderful to see these newlyweds surrounded by all the people they love most, and practically bursting with love and happiness. Everyone in attendance could tell just how much Rachel and Nathan love each other and how excited they are to be embarking on their next adventure together as a married couple.
