The countdown for Chris and Megan’s happily ever after has begun! To show off their love, this adorable couple joined me for an absolutely awesome downtown Chicago engagement session. It was so fun to see these two so happy, excited, and in love as we captured their precious moments. They even brought Ozzy, their new pup, for some fun and unique photos!

Chapter 1: The Meet-up

I just love a good story, and Chris and Megan’s story does not disappoint! This cute couple met on Match.com – gotta love this site for bringing so many lovely couples together! Megan found Chris’s profile and clicked “interested”. Within just a few hours, Chris messaged Megan back and their conversation flowed so easily. Immediately, Megan thought that this could be the beginning of something special. Christ, too, was instantly engaged. He thought this girl was amazing and enjoyed that they had so much in common. And they really do have so much in common –including how they were brought up, their family interests, travel, sports, religion, and about a million more things!

Chapter 2: Falling in Love

It is easy to see that these sweethearts were made for each other. They even have their friends’ approval, as they say that Megan and Chris are a solid fit for one another. Because they have so much in common, they are happiest when they are together. The make each other better, and they love that they still feel as though they are falling more in love with each other every day. My heart just bursts with happiness hearing this – love is the best!

So, when did these two know it was meant to be? Chris had a good feeling about Megan before they even met in person, and the first two dates confirmed his feelings. Megan knew just as quickly – by the second date! She highly anticipated the date, as Chris had been on a 10-day vacation, and Megan was ready to see him again. In fact, Chris ditched his family at the airport to meet Megan in the city for their piano bar date. After their second date, these lovebirds became inseparable, and that eventually led to the…drum roll please…romantic proposal!

Chapter 4: A Proposal in Downtown Chicago

To be honest, Megan had been not-so-patiently waiting for a proposal. She even says that she had been dropping hints on rings and engagement expectations for a good few months. But hey, it’s awesome when a girl knows what she wants and isn’t afraid to say it! Although Chris knew she was expecting it, he still wanted the moment to be special. He knew that one of Megan’s favorite things to do in the city is run on the Riverwalk and on the lake path. Luckily, the day he planned to propose, Megan unknowingly played right into those plans by asking Chris if he wanted to go on a run. Of course, he grabbed the ring and after about 10 minutes of running pulled Megan over and proposed overlooking the Chicago river. So romantic! The best part, according to Megan, was that they then had the rest of the morning and afternoon to call friends and family to share the good news!

Chapter 5: A Downtown Chicago Photo Session

Their downtown Chicago engagement shoot was a great way to capture this couple’s love and happiness. Obviously, we couldn’t let the session go by without getting some Riverwalk photos. It was a great way to remember the proposal and the commitment they made to each other. Both were all smiles as we captured photos that they would treasure forever. They are so excited for their upcoming wedding, and even more excited for the life they will make together. Can’t wait to see where Chris and Megan’s next chapter takes them!
