A Millikin University engagement session is just the thing for a couple whose love story began on the Millikin campus! It was so much fun capturing photos of Hannah and Scott on the steps of their alma mater…and the place where their journey started. The session was full of happy emotion, and these sweet lovebirds reminded me why I love engagement shoots.

College Sweethearts

Hannah and Scott met while attending Millikin University. Both went to the college to play sports. Although they had an athletic motivation in common, Hannah and Scott did not actually hit it off at first. Hannah says it took them a few months to warm up to each other, and they eventually started dating. Hey, it’s not always love at first sight, but love is love and that is all that matters!

Together, these sweethearts love to laugh and have fun. It’s a lot of the reason their engagement session was such a blast. That, and the fact that they are simply adorable together! Besides enjoying their time laughing together, Hannah and Scott also full heartedly admit that they are eaters. The love to eat out, especially places that serve pizza and beer. On the weekends, you can find Hannah and Scott outdoors playing with their puppies and enjoying time on the lake. While they have their differences – Scott likes to watch movies, and Hannah would rather read books – they both love milkshakes and ice cream. I mean, who doesn’t? They also dream of traveling in their future. After graduating from Millikin University, they went on a week-long excursion to Italy, and they would love to visit Africa in the future. Talk about fun adventures on the horizon for these two!

Millikin University Engagement Session

Because these two met at college, it was only fitting that we capture some of their engagement photos on campus. To say they were all smiles is an understatement; both were radiant in their happiness! The couple also brought their adorable puppies to their Millikin engagement session, which made for some great photos that showed off their little family. After getting some great shots at the University, we headed to Rock Springs Conservation Area for a more natural and relaxed setting. Between the tall pines and the rolling prairie, it was a beautiful backdrop that helped show off the love that Hannah and Scott have for each other. Their whole session was full of gentle embraces and lots of laughter.

Hannah and Scott can’t wait to dance the night away at their wedding in June 2019. After all, Hannah is pretty hot for Scott’s dancing skills! She is also excited about the decorations and center pieces because she has really enjoyed being creative. Both say they can’t wait to see the whole day come together. It will definitely be a night for these college sweethearts to remember!
