When it comes to choosing a location for an engagement photography session, the options are limitless. Some may prefer something in the city while some prefer to be closer to nature and greenery. Emme and Jake chose Shaw Nature Reserve in Missouri for their engagement photography session. I had the pleasure of photographing this lovely couple’s engagement celebrations.
We did this engagement session in November. It is that time of the year when winters are settling in but the fall foliage still has its beauty. The orange and yellow shade of leaves adds a special charm to the photos.
This happy young couple had a few ideas for their outdoor engagement photographs which made my work easier. Emme and Jake looked cute together and posed like professional models. Their love reflected in all of their photos. They were so well dressed and complemented each other.
Emme and Jake were well immersed in each other. Their eyes spoke of deep love and understanding. They smiled, ran around and had fun during their engagement photography session at the Shaw Nature Reserve. This shoot was filled with laughter, hugs and loads of affection. Also, they were super relaxed throughout.
I focused on Emme’s gorgeous engagement ring in some of the photographs. They came out so well. The Shaw Nature Reserve offered the best background one can get for such photoshoots. The photos by the lakeside were just splendid. I had lots of opportunities to play with the sunlight and shadows. I felt so satisfied with the results of the shoot that I sometimes reflect back on how great they came out. Black and white images have their own grace and they can often give their own mood to engagement photography. That was so much the case with these engagement photos at the Shaw Nature Reserve.
Emme and Jake’s Shaw Nature Reserve engagement photography session in Missouri was so fun. Thank you, Emme and Jake for giving me the opportunity to be your engagement photographer. Congratulations, you two!
