Last September, I was lucky enough to be the wedding photographer for Alicia and Brandon’s bohemian garden wedding. Sometimes, a small and intimate wedding becomes the perfect celebration of two people. That was the case with this intimate wedding with a gorgeous garden ceremony in the Learning Circle at Luthy Botanical Garden and a reception at Cyd’s in the Park in Peoria, IL. It was such a true pleasure to be able to photograph this day filled with joy.
I first met up with Alicia to begin her wedding day as she got ready. She was wearing the most beautiful Galina lace wedding gown that had such a simple elegance. She accessorized it with a truly unique necklace from The E and E project on Etsy, a pearl backdrop necklace that delicately fell in the open space of the gown. It was such a delicate and unique accessory and perfectly complemented her dress and fair complexion.
Alicia and Brandon’s wedding had such beautiful, rich fall colors. They tastefully used hunter green as an accent color through the bouquets, décor and even as the color of Brandon’s shirt! Alicia’s stunning fall bouquet featured burgundy, mauve, lilac and gold metallic accents. It was such a lovely fall wedding palate.
Alicia and Brandon’s wedding ceremony was at the Luthy Botanical Gardens in Peoria. When it comes to outdoor wedding ceremonies, the Luthy Botanical Garden offers so many beautiful garden settings to be wed surrounded by the tranquil beauty of rustic nature. Alicia and Brandon had their ceremony in the Learning Circle, shaded by graceful American Yellowwood trees. It was a lovely backdrop for this small, intimate celebration of love. The bridal party was made up of family. For the bride, she had her brother and sister, Jessica and Brenton. Brandon had his sister, Marrissa stand with him.
After the ceremony, we did formal wedding photos in the park before going to the reception at Cyd’s in the Park (website). The reception tent was truly transformed by the stylish rentals from Spruce Rentals. The décor was both rustic and comfortable, making it easy for everyone to enjoy one another’s company to celebrate the bride and groom.
Guests dined on amazing food provided by Cyd’s in the park and Alicia and Brandon stood up to give a thank you speech to their family and loved ones. I am so happy that I was there to capture this rustic and elegant autumn Cyd’s in the Park wedding.
Alicia and Brandon — thank you for asking me to be your wedding photographer. I wish you both continued love and happiness in your life together.
