One of the reasons I adore my job as a wedding photographer is the opportunity to hear so many different love stories. I have a chance to talk to couples about how they met, fell in love, when they knew they’ve found the one, and some of the things they love most about their partner. The answers are all unique, and it just goes to show that love is the universal language – no matter how it is shared! Meeting Becca and Jeremy was no different. Becca and Jeremy’s classy winter wedding was a dream, and it was the perfect way to celebrate their relationship and share their love story with friends and family!
This sweet couple hit it off when Jeremy invited Becca to a bonfire and party at his house. When Becca showed up, Becca walked straight into the house – after all, it was a party right?! Turns out there was no bonfire or any other guests. She and Jeremy talked for a long while and then went out for a drink. Becca says that we will never know if there was ever going to be a bonfire or not. Perhaps this was just Jeremy’s way of getting to know Becca better. Either way, I’m a fan of how it turned out!
As a couple, Becca and Jeremy treasure their time together. They like to porch sit, go to sporting events, support Eureka college (Becca is the head volleyball coach), listen to Cleveland Indians games on the radio, to spend time with family, make sushi, listen to the oldies, try new restaurants, and simply sit at home and watch TV. Aren’t they so cute??
I always like to ask my clients, “What is one of the things you love most about your partner?” This answer always varies, and it is so hard to pick only one (or a few) things you love about your future spouse, but the answers are always adorable. When asked, Becca said, “Where do I even begin? Jeremy has every quality that I’m not sure I ever knew I needed in a man. I love adventure, but he has taught me to also appreciate what is right in front of me. He is great at the things I am not, in the best possible way. He’s so patient, and the only person who can talk me off of the ledge. He is the calm to my storm. He’s my person.” Jeremy said that he loves Bee’s unconditional love, and that she is supportive, thoughtful, and caring. Also, his nickname for Becca is Bee, and I think that is so sweet!
How did they know it was meant to be, and that they would one day be saying I do in a classy winter wedding? For Becca, she says she knew after about a month of dating. Jeremy made sushi for dinner, and she asked him to tell her about his family. That night, she knew that Jeremy would someday be her husband. Jeremy knew it was meant to be when no matter how goofy he was, Becca loved him unconditionally. No matter what was going on in his life, his leading lady loved him just the same. She not only “tolerated” his quirky mannerisms and personality, but welcomed it. Seriously guys, I can’t get enough of these lovebirds!
Becca and Jeremy wed in a romantic, elegant, and classy winter wedding ceremony in February 2018 – just a few days after Valentine’s Day! With colors of blush, champagne, and pearl, the day couldn’t have been classier or more romantic. Becca thinks that class is just about the prettiest thing in the world, and I’ve got to share she proved that was true at her incredibly classy wedding. Their day was full of intimate and sweet moments, including an unforgettable one where the newlyweds exchanged cards/gifts prior to the ceremony. This is always a great way to have some alone time with your partner to escape the chaos of the day and simply soak in the beauty of the moment. Becca and Jeremy also incorporated a unique tradition into their ceremony. Instead of doing a unity candle, they conducted their very own “ivy ceremony.” Eureka College – where Becca and Jeremy met – has few ivy-specific traditions, and the two felt incorporating an ivy tradition would be unique and special to them.
It was beautiful to witness the wedding celebrations, and I wish Becca and Jeremy a world of happiness as they embark on this next journey together!
