Walking in a winter wonderland of love! Is there anything more romantic than wedding photos in the snow? I really can’t think of anything! Carly and Allen’s winter wonderland wedding in Bloomington, Illinois was absolutely perfect in every way. Love, romance, and joy interspersed with an enchanting setting made for an incredible atmosphere and wonderful photos of the new bride and groom.
Carly and Allen met the old-fashioned way – on a blind date set up by their friends. They said they were having a Superbowl party, but it turned out to be just the four of them. When they first met, both Carly and Allen thought that the other was way out of their league. That couldn’t be further from the case! And it looks like their friends knew what they were doing because we recently got to celebrate the sweet couple’s winter nuptials! As a couple, Carly and Allen are very positive people and they can make anything work. They look for the best in others and love meeting new people, as well. Together, the lovebirds enjoy hanging with their puppy Luna, watching Game of Thrones, and going to bed early. Allen loves Carly’s open mind, and Carly loves that her man is easy going, super cute, and he will do anything she asks him to do. Um, can I just say I love these two and their love story!
These sweethearts said their “I do’s” in a stunningly perfect winter wonderland wedding on December 30, 2017. Nothing like ending an amazing year with a beautiful wedding, and starting the new year by embarking on life’s greatest adventure – marriage! With colors of cornflower blue, white, and blush pink, Carly and Allen’s wedding radiated with class and romance.
The groom and groomsmen work dark gray tuxes with cornflower blue bowties and pocket squares, white vests, black shoes, and baby-breath boutonnieres. The bride wowed her guests and her groom in a classic white dress and fur wrap, while her bridesmaids donned long, cornflower blue dresses. Their attire made for flawlessly gorgeous photos – in the church for the ceremony, outside in the snow for posed pictures, and at their Doubletree reception. I personally loved the outdoor photos, as the snowy landscape made a dreamy winter wonderland backdrop for the wedding party, and the colors popped nicely in with the green and white setting.
After their wedding celebration, the newly married Mr. and Mrs. Hays jetted off to warm Hawaii – a nice contrast to the cold weather they enjoyed for the wedding. What a lovely way to start their marriage adventure! Wishing Carly and Allen all the best on this new journey. #HappilyEverHays
