Traditional, elegant, and formal. These are just a few of the words that perfectly describe Melissa and Paul’s beautiful fall wedding. From the beautiful light that illuminated the getting-ready room, the countless thoughtful touches, the bride’s stunning Mira Couture gown and the BlackTux classics, and the patio cocktail hour, their wedding celebration was certainly a stunner! As always, it was a blast capturing all of the moments that made this wedding day unique and special for the couple.

From Co-Workers to Lovebirds

Melissa and Paul met at work. Paul had worked there for years, and Melissa was an intern. They went to lunch for a work-related purpose, and he really wanted to take her on a date. After playing hard-to-get a couple of times, Melissa thought to herself, “Why not?!” The two ended up going out one night with a group of co-workers, and they continued to have a great time together. A few months and lots of laughter later, they were dating. Melissa knew it was meant to be when she realized that Paul loved her for her. She says that she knows she can be a tad difficult and high-maintenance, but he always puts her first! For Paul, he knew Melissa was the one after dating a few years. She makes him feel special, and he loves spending time with her no matter what they’re doing. Cue the wistful sighs – these two are so cute!

As a couple, Melissa and Paul love to have a lot of fun. They like to watch crime-related TV shows, try new Spanish tapas restaurants, listen to country music, and travel. Together, they have been all over the US and abroad. They hope to see as much of the country and world as possible. Their future bucket list together includes Greece, Spain, Austin, NYC, Fiji, Grand Cayman, and other parts of Europe. And you can be sure they’ll be adding to that list in the future! Throughout their adventures together, Paul fell hard for Melissa’s fun-love, dedicated, and honest personality. He also loves her sense of humor and how she isn’t afraid to show her quirks. Melissa loves that her man is down-to-earth, responsible, selfless, and is always the life of the party. Their fun-loving relationship was especially evident during their fall wedding!

A Romantic Fall Wedding

Melissa and Paul said “I do” in the most romantic wedding on October 21, 2017. Their colors of gold, ivory, black, and burgundy radiated a truly traditional, elegant, and formal style. Paul and the groomsmen donned black tuxes and suspenders, complemented by burgundy socks and pocket squares. They also wore matching watches. The bridesmaids looked stunning in long, latte-colored dresses made of tulle material, nude shoes, and stud earrings. Of course, Melissa was the show-stopper, wearing an ivory Mira Couture dress paired with shoes of ivory satin and jewels.

Their special day was full both sweet and fun moments. As a wedding photographer, I get to hear all kinds of great wedding hashtag ideas, but Melissa and Paul’s was one of the most creative and unique. Paul’s nickname is “Party Paul”, and the couple decided on the hashtag #WifeOfTheParty for their celebration. Love it! Melissa and Paul also wrote letters to each other, and they read them separately before the reception at their hotels. Catching these moments on camera is always a blessing, as it shows the vulnerability and love of the couple! Finally, the incredible energy that Melissa and Paul shared on the dance floor was icing on the cake for such a fun celebration. It was a day to be remembered, for sure!

Following the ceremony, the couple took off to Spain. Yep, they’re checking one place off their bucket list already! Wishing Melissa and Paul all the best as they continue adventuring together, now as husband and wife!
