Chelsie and Brandon said their vows and “I do” in a classy rustic wedding on a beautiful Saturday in October 2017. They were surrounded by all of their friends and families, which made their day perfect, magical, and memorable in every way. Having also photographed Chelsie and Brandon’s engagement session, I was incredibly excited to capture the incredible moments that made their wedding day so special!
These cute sweethearts met on a cruise. They were both on spring break, except Chelsie is from Illinois and Brandon is from North Dakota. Chelsie’s college roommate convinced her to go on the cruise, and that’s when she met Brandon. Seems like Chelsie’s roommate was working for fate all along! When she first met her future husband, Chelsie’s initial thought was that he was reserved, but she was definitely interested in getting to know him. Brandon’s first thought when he saw Chelsie was that she was the most beautiful girl he had ever seen. Aww, how sweet! They both knew it was meant to be several months later when they started dating and never had a day that they didn’t want to learn more about each other. Like all long-distance relationships, there were ups and downs, but they were always supporting each other and never against each other. Their dedication, hard work, and love is what made their relationship work!
As a couple, Chelsie and Brandon love spending time together. Whether it is being lazy on a long weekend or doing something exciting like going to a Blackhawks game, they always enjoy each other’s company. They also love to go out to eat and cooking together. Food is their thing! Chelsie says that she also enjoys learning Brandon’s passions, and one summer went out golfing with him a few times and is still learning the game. Supporting your significant other’s passions is always a sign of a strong and lasting relationship! Of course, while they share some similarities, they also have their differences. For instance, Chelsie likes scary movies, but Brandon does not. Brandon’s favorite ice cream is cookie dough and Chelsie’s is mint chocolate chip. While Brandon only drinks his coffee black, Chelsie is all about adding lots of vanilla and caramel flavors to her coffee.
Throughout it all, Chelsie has fallen in love with how into his faith that Brandon is. She loves that he is close to his family, the way that he loves her, how patient he is, and his sense of humor. Similarly, Brandon loves his darling’s sense of humor, that they consistently make each other laugh on a daily basis, and he the person he is when he’s with her. Their love is so pure, and it was so wonderful witnessing their union at their classy rustic wedding.
On October 28, 2017, Chelsie married the man of her dreams in a classy rustic wedding. The theme was revealed through the burgundy, blush, ivory, ivy, and gold florals and décor. Their wedding hashtag was a nod to their newly married name – #WillYouMarryMegal. So cute! The ceremony took place at the St. Katharine Drexel Catholic Church, where Brandon works. The newlyweds were excited to have staff there that feels like family. Chelsie wore a beautiful lace dress with intricate details. Chelsi and Brandon’s day was full of love and laughter, and it was wonderful to witness and capture the next chapter in their love story!
For their honeymoon, Chelsie and Brandon embarked on a cruise – going full circle back to where they met! Wishing these sweet lovebirds all the best in their marriage and life adventure together!
