Besides photographing engagement and wedding sessions, I absolutely adore anniversary sessions. After all, what’s not to love? Engagements are about sharing the dating chapter of a love story, while weddings capture the love and romance of a new journey just beginning. Anniversaries are the culmination of all the sweet, hilarious, intimate, and crazy moments that have forged the relationship into what it is today. And that, my friends, is beautiful! So, when Dana and John requested an in-home anniversary shoot, there was no way I could say no!

Dana and John are foodies, and they love to cook at home. As such, there was no better way to celebrate their third anniversary than with a cozy, in-home anniversary session. After all, home is where the heart is! For their in-home anniversary shoot, we captured Dana and John making homemade pizzas. Throughout it all, they laughed, joked, and shared sweet moments. It was a blast getting to see them in their element.

We also ventured into town for a little while, taking a trip to one of the sweet couple’s favorite local coffee shops. For me, this is the best way to capture a couple’s story. In-home anniversary shoots or snapping photos in their favorite locations. The couple is where they feel most comfortable, and it makes for authentic and real photos that reflect the actual relationship. So glad I had the opportunity to photograph Dana and John’s love story!
