If you know me, you know that I’m a sucker for weddings! If you don’t know me…well, now you know that love and weddings are my favorite things. Ever. So, of course, I was super excited to photograph Becky and Andrew on their wedding day. Becky and Andrew’s dreamy wedding was full of romance, excitement, smile, laughter, and fairytale-esque vibes. Yay for love and wedding adventures!

Couples that Workout Together, Stay Together

Becky and Andrew met in 2012 while doing CrossFit. Those who gym together, stay together, am I right? When she first met her future hubby, Becky thought that he was so adorable. She said that he was tall, dark, and handsome, but always had such a happy and goofy disposition. Andrew’s first thought of his future bride was that she was super tiny. Really pretty, but also super tiny. For reference, there is about a 14” height difference between these lovebirds. But hey, love knows no bounds – even in height!

Meant to Be

So, when did these cuties know it was meant to be? For Becky, she knew she wanted to spend the rest of her life with Andrew when he was cutting their dog’s nails. She said, “That’s weird, I know. But she was panicking and he was just so calm and patient, and it was that moment that I could see a future with him. I saw how he would interact with our future kids and me and that was it.” Andrew knew pretty quickly in their relationship that Becky was the one. When asked when he knew it was meant to be, he said, “Our first date was an impromptu meet up for drinks at a local watering hold. Becky showed up dressed up way more than I. She told me that she had another function – a masquerade ball – that she may or may not attend. She didn’t because I am totally awesome, and we ended up at a dub-step concert with a bunch of 19-year olds. You know, that old story. Being together has always been relatively easy and I knew she was the one long before I said it openly to her. I’d say it was pretty quick into our relationship that I thought there was a real chance.”

An Easy Love

As a couple, Becky and Andrew complete each other. Becky loves that her man just makes her better. He makes her more open to adventure and he calms her down. She says that her brain always seems to be going a million miles am minute and is borderline chaotic, so he often gets her to slow down and chill out. Throughout their relationship, Andrew has continued to fall in love with his wife because in his words, “She is just the best.” He, too, loves that they balance each other out, and that they have always had a very easy relationship. Together they like to be lazy and travel together. They also have a puppy who they love to cuddle on. Their sweet pup was even included in some of their wedding photos, because she’s not just another pet – she’s part of their family!

A Dreamy Wedding

Becky and Andrew’s dreamy wedding took place on September 16, 2017 at the Wyndham in Springfield. With colors of dark blue, forest green, gold, and white, romance radiated throughout. It gave off the feeling of being in a forest at dusk, and it was beautiful. Becky’s dress was champagne and ivory lace, in a fit and flare style. Her ladies complemented her in the best way, wearing different styles of dresses in dark blues and rich greens. The guys wore dark blue suits and green ties, while the groom wore red accessories in remembrance of his grandmother (red was her favorite color).

The dreamy wedding ceremony and reception included sweet touches that were personal to the bride and groom. For one, their officiant was Andrew’s mother. Additionally, Andrew’s best man was on deployment, so his best man’s speech was done via a recording that the bride, groom, and their guests watched on large screens. It was an incredible moment! Their day was full of so much love, and it’ll be wonderful for Becky and Andrew to look back through their photos and feel the love and joy of the day just as they experienced it.
