As an Illinois photographer who captures weddings, engagements, and anniversary moments, I am obviously a big fan of love! It is a blast to meet adoring couples and learn their unique stories. Love is a journey, and I had so much fun capturing some of the sweetest memories so far of Alisha and AJ’s adventure.

Alisha and AJ are civil defense attorneys who met at SIU Law School and fell in love! Out of their entire class, the two were in every single class together. They instantly hit it off. Of course, with their demanding schedules, dating tended to fall on the back burner. When they returned for their second year, AJ asked Alisha on a date, and the duo has been inseparable ever since. There is nothing like time spent studying in the library, quizzing each other, and enjoying southern Illinois on the weekends to bring two lovebirds even closer together!

Besides killing it in law school, this fun-loving couple always has a good time together. As huge foodies, they like to try out different restaurants, especially with all of the options in St. Louis. They enjoy getting outdoors as often as they can, but also like a quiet night at home with a glass of wine and a snack while watching a movie.

Of course, they also love their Alma Mater. Who can blame them? After all, that is where it all began! Obviously, it is no surprise that they like to spend time tailgating and cheering on their team at the U of I football games.

After years of laughing and joking around together, their wedding day finally arrived, and it was magical! Surrounded by friends and family, Alisha and AJ practically glowed as they vowed to love each other forever. The entire day was beautiful, full of happiness and laughter. How amazing it was to witness the love between two souls that are not only best friends, but now husband and wife.
