Sam & Matt’s gorgeous celebration was in Effingham, Illinois at the Firefly Grill. Growing up, Sam spent her summers in the area. And the restaurant (and it’s owners) is a favorite of theirs. So returning for their wedding day carried such beautiful meaning for both of them.
They love food and wanted to ensure their guests had the an incredible selection of tastes and the menu was filled with amazing dishes. The kick off to their feast was an amuse-bouche served in a personalized spoon (which was also the gift to their guests).
The atmosphere was relaxed and party-like, bites of tasty morsels making their way through the room every so often. And the emotion…so much laughter and tears and joy. Every single person in their wedding party gave a two minute speech and the bride’s grandfather + father both gave toasts that filled everyone’s eyes with tears.
And the dance floor? It was packed with nearly every single guest from the very first bit of music that was played until the very last note had quieted.
